At approx. 2034 hrs, members of the Southwest Fire and Rescue Department were attending fire training at St. 1. When they were dispatched to a water rescue with one vehicle in a farm pond at 1670 W Bennett Rd. SW 11, SW 31, SW 61, and SW 60 (ALS) cleared with 16 volunteers. Upon arrival SW 11 advised they had a 90’s style conversion van in a dried up farm pond. SW 11’s crew worked on removing the patient from the vehicle and in to the awaiting stretcher. Patient was assessed by SW paramedics. Patient refused care and was released to the care a family member.
